Ice cream, you ask? We are dealing with endless snow and ice in the Northeast, and you want to wax on about ice cream? The thing is, I really have been craving ice cream lately because it isn’t something we usually get during the winter. Sure I can go to the store and buy some ice cream and crank the heat up and eat it at home. But what I really want is somehow for it to be magically a summer day. I want to head downtown to our local ice cream parlor Moo Moo’s. I imagine picking out a couple of yummy flavors that are hand scooped for me and then I go to the Hudson River to watch the world go by while I dig in! But alas Moo Moo’s isn’t even open this time of year and it certainly isn’t warm enough to eat anything as frozen as ice cream. So instead, I will dream about the magical moment of eating ice cream on a hot summer day.
